Recording copy for grand juries, New City, N.Y., 1780-1781.

Manuscript recording copy of the disposition of cases for a series of grand juries empowered at New City, in what was then Orange County, N.Y., now part of Rockland County, beginning in May of 1780 and running through November of 1781. Among the cases for assault, shooting, theft, are also records of Tory expropriations, fine for trading with the enemy, and violation of requisitions acts.
